Mr. Welsh has extensive experience in a broad range of civil litigation involving millions, and in some cases billions of dollars. He has represented clients from the securities, oil and gas, chemical pipeline, manufacturing, petrochemical, banking, health care, medical, appraisal, real estate, investment advisory, product development, and insurance fields. His experience includes complex commercial, financial and securities cases as well as class actions, energy cases, product liability matters, mass tort cases, eminent domain and condemnation, professional malpractice claims, toxic tort and environmental matters, property damage claims, tax matters, False Claim Act suits, torts, contracts, RICO, intellectual property disputes, personal injury cases, and will contests.

Mr. Welsh received his degree from the University of Texas School of Law, graduating with honors. He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates, is certified in both Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is AV-PreeminentTM Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell.  Ron has been selected for inclusion in every edition of Texas Super Lawyers, and has been listed as one of the Top 100 Houston Super Lawyers since 2011.

Mr. Welsh has chaired the American College of Trial Lawyers’ Federal Civil Procedure Committee, co-chaired the Ad-Hoc Committee on Electronic Discovery, and has served on the State Bar Committee on the Rules of Evidence. He is a member of the editorial board of Texas Objections by Harvey G. Brown and Judge Ken Curry, and is the author of many law-related articles.

Mr. Welsh has lectured extensively on trial topics for the State Bar of Texas, the Houston Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, and Louisiana State University, among others. Before founding Welsh LeBlanc LLP, he was a partner, the Co-Section Head of Litigation, and on the Litigation Coordinating Committee at Vinson & Elkins, LLP.
