With a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and economics from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Capellan earned his Juris Doctor from the South Texas College of Law Houston, graduating with dean’s list honors. While in law school, he was a finalist in the Garland R. Walker Memorial Intramural Mock Trial Competition and the president of the Hispanic Law Students Association.
Mr. Capellan is active in the legal arena and has memberships in the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Texas’ Legal Services to the Poor in Civil Matters Committee. He is also a part of the Board of Advocates of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to his law practice, he enjoys Muay Thai training and traveling.
Mr. Capellan served in the state of Texas’ Office of the Attorney General’s Tort Litigation Division and interned for a renowned judge at the Texas 14th Court of Appeals.
