J. Crispin Clarke is a dedicated attorney at Ford + Bergner LLP, specializing in estate planning, trust litigation, and probate matters across Texas. Based in Houston, he serves clients from the firm’s Austin and Dallas offices, combining technical knowledge with a compassionate approach. Upon graduating from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in humanities and history, Mr. Clarke enrolled at the University of Houston Law Center to pursue his legal career. During law school, he worked for a probate litigation law firm where he advocated for trustees, guardians, executors and beneficiaries in matters of financial planning and disposition of assets at death. Through this experience, he gained knowledge of probate and legal proceedings along with insights into client management.

Earning admission to practice in Texas in 2016, Mr. Clarke focused his practice on estate planning and administration. Throughout years of practice, he has represented numerous clients and led their cases to a suitable outcome. Understanding the importance of client relationships, he tailors legal strategies to individual needs, ensuring personalized support throughout every stage of the process.

In the legal fraternity, Mr. Clarke is an active member of the Probate, Trust and Estate, and Litigation and Tax Sections of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas. He previously served as vice president of the Disability and Elder Law Attorneys Association and as a section counsel member for the Houston Bar Association Probate, Trust and Estate Law Section. He also volunteers with the University of Houston Law Center Professional Mentoring Program, helping students with career planning, networking and the transition to practice.
