He co-authored the first four editions of the DWI textbook titled "Texas Drunk Driving Law" and has authored more than 50 articles on various legal topics, including DUI, DWI, BWI (Boating While Intoxicated), ALR (Administrative License Revocation), and defending pilot licenses in DWI-related issues against the Federal Aviation Administration.

Mr. Trichter's skill extends beyond legal writing; he has also shared his knowledge through teaching, conducting over 300 legal seminars in 30 states, educating fellow lawyers, prosecutors and judges, with a particular emphasis on DWI law.

In addition to his extensive legal career, Mr. Trichter holds multiple Certified Flight Instructor ratings, highlighting his aviation experience. He is licensed to practice law in several states, including Texas, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado and Wyoming, and before numerous federal courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Trichter's commitment to the legal profession is further underscored by his involvement in professional associations. He served as the chairman of the DWI committees for both the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (TCDLA) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
