He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1992 and is also authorized to practice law in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas. Further enhancing his legal education, he attended the Trial Lawyers College in 2006.

A board-certified attorney in personal injury law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Mr. Lassiter is a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason.
