James M. Thompson

Representing clients in Houston, Texas, James M. Thompson is partner at Royston Rayzor. With over two decades of experience, he handles legal issues related to environmental law and toxic torts, commercial and business litigation and counseling, and admiralty and maritime law. After earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996, Mr. Thompson attended law school at South Texas College of Law Houston. In 1999, he graduated with honors and his Juris Doctor and began a long career full of litigation experience. During his career, he has also represented premises owners and manufacturers in asbestos litigation.

Mr. Thompson is admitted to practice in the state of Texas. He is also admitted to practice before the following federal courts: The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas and The United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. A member of the Federal Bar Association, he is also actively involved with the State Bar of Texas, the Maritime Law Association of the United States and the Houston Bar Association.
