Jeffrey R. In his more than 30 years as a lawyer, Mr. Elkin has litigated numerous cases involving First Amendment issues and the Texas Anti-SLAPP statute. Recognizing his successful career, Chambers USA listed him as a noted practitioner in general commercial litigation.

Outside of the office, Mr. Elkin is active in the legal community. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.  He is the author of various articles for publications, including the American Bar Association’s Business Law Today and the Houston Business Journal.

Mr. Elkin earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Virginia. He received his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law. He holds a license to practice law in Texas and Colorado, as well as before all four federal district courts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Prior to joining Mouer Huston PLLC, Mr. Elkin was a partner at another Houston-based law firm. During that time, he served as the partner in charge of the firm’s litigation practice group, as the firm's hiring partner, and was chairperson of the firm's pro bono committee.
