John Blaise Gsanger

John Gsanger has built his career as an attorney at The Ammons Law Firm around holding large corporations accountable for putting dangerous products into the hands of consumers. His work as a personal injury lawyer has resulted in settlements that led to recalls of defective tires and dangerous sports utility vehicles and caused manufacturers to disclose important safety warnings to consumers.

The Texas Board of Legal Specialization awarded John a double Board Certification in both Personal Injury Trials and Appeals, a distinction that is rare among Texas attorneys. He serves as a contributing author of the Texas Pattern Jury Charge Committee and has been invited to teach at over 100 continuing legal education seminars across the country on trial law issues. In truck accident litigation and tire defect cases, John has won numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts against major tire and automobile companies, including a $33 million result in a tire defect case.

John earned his law degree on scholarship from the University of Texas School of Law in 1991, where he served as Editor in Chief of the Review of Litigation and Editor of the American Law Institute's Symposium on Complex Litigation. He went on to study comparative law at Queen Mary and Westfield College, University of London. He is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale-Hubbell, has been included on the Texas Super Lawyers list from 2008 through 2021, and has received the Judge Paul W. Nye Professionalism Award and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association John Howie Mentorship Award.

John is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, all four federal district courts in Texas, and several additional federal district courts across the country.
