As founder of Bo Nichols Law Firm, John “Bo” Nichols is dedicated to representing people in Houston, Texas. He commits his practice to family law, handling cases that involve the following matters: child custody, divorce, visitation, annulment, child support and enforcement.
Upon receiving a law degree from the South Texas College of Law in 1996, Mr. Nichols became a member of the State Bar of Texas. He is admitted to practice in all 14 Texas Courts of Appeals and state district courts, The Supreme Court of Texas and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
With nearly two decades of experience, Mr. Nichols brings extensive work in litigation and mediation to every case. He understands the emotions associated with getting divorced or trying to secure delinquent child support payments, and advocates on clients’ behalf in order to reach the best possible outcome. Sharing his legal experience, Mr. Nichols teaches at the Houston Family Law Trial Institute at South Texas College of Law and has published several works concerning family law matters. The Texas Board of Legal Specialization has certified Mr. Nichols in family law, and he has been named in The Best Lawyers in America* every year since 2009.
Staying active in the legal community, Mr. Nichols holds memberships with the Houston Bar Association, the Fort Bend County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Gulf Coast Family Law Specialists and the Texas Academy of Family Law Specialists.
