John E. Pipkin

Attorney John Pipkin is the managing partner of the Pipkin Ferguson, PLLC, law firm in Houston, Texas. Board-certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in construction law and possessing more than 20 years of legal experience, Mr. Pipkin focuses his practice primarily on construction litigation defense. He primarily serves the interests of contractors, subcontractors, property owners, lenders and manufacturers with their construction defect claims, contractual disputes and other matters.  Mr. Pipkin also serves as an American Arbitration Association arbitrator and mediator.

In addition, Mr. Pipkin also represents individual clients, as well as collective defense groups dealing with complex mass torts and commercial litigation arising from a variety of disputes, including defective products, premises liability, personal injury, chemical exposure and more. Along with maintaining a successful trial practice, Mr. Pipkin has extensive experience with arbitration, and he has achieved notable success advocating on behalf of clients throughout the state both inside and outside of the courtroom.

A 1986 graduate of Texas Tech University, Mr. Pipkin attended Baylor University School of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctor in 1990. The State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice the following year, and he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.

Highly active in his legal community, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, The Texas Association of Defense Counsel, the Houston Bar Association, the Jefferson County Bar Association and the State Bar of Texas.

Whether fighting for his clients in court or negotiating favorable terms through arbitration or mediation, Mr. Pipkin always keeps his clients' rights and interests at the forefront of his efforts to help ensure they resolve their disputes efficiently and to increase their odds of success.
