John S. Moody, Jr., is the managing attorney and founder of Moody Law Group PLLC in Houston, Texas. Mr. Moody is board-certified in Commercial Real Estate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and has extensive experience in real estate development, leasing, acquisitions, sales, financing and construction of all types of real estate. Mr. Moody has also assisted litigators, as both an expert and co-counsel, in lawsuits, mediations and settlements of various disputes involving commercial real estate. His clients include developers, families, financial institutions, investors, owners, retailers, doctors, lawyer, brokers, and private equity funds.
Mr. Moody holds a bachelor’s degree in U.S. History from Vanderbilt University, and a MBA and JD from the University of Houston. He has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1999.
Mr. Moody is a member of professional organizations, including the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, International Council of Shopping Centers and the American Bar Association.
Mr. Moody serves in several leadership roles, including serving on the board and the human resource committee of the DePelchin Children’s Center; and previously on the board of the Houston Bar Association’s real estate section and Crisis Intervention of Houston, Inc.
