Joshua A. Verde

Joshua A. Verde is a managing attorney at The Verde Law Firm, PLLC, where he represents a diverse array of clients, including individuals, nonprofit organizations, and small businesses. His legal practice primarily focuses on litigation, with a primary focus on labor and employment law. Mr. Verde is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Verde previously served as general counsel for a Houston-based oilfield services company, guiding it through a significant financial restructuring that eradicated nearly $100 million in contingent liabilities and concluded in a nine-figure asset sale. His firm continues to deliver strategic advice in employment matters, contracts and litigation.

Deeply committed to community service and pro bono work, Mr. Verde encourages his team to dedicate time to those unable to afford legal services. He has volunteered at the legal clinic at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and has been active in various committees under the Houston Bar Association. Following Hurricane Harvey, he furthered his commitment to community service by volunteering at the University of Houston Law Center. His dedication to pro bono work earned him the CARE recognition badge from the State Bar of Texas.

In addition to his pro bono work, Mr. Verde served on the technology committee for the Harris County District Attorney during her 2017 transition into office, showcasing his adaptability and commitment to public service. His legal acumen has led to numerous successful outcomes in both state and federal courts across Texas, including wins in appeals in Texas appellate courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. 

Mr. Verde's distinguished career is backed by a solid educational foundation, with degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and South Texas College of Law, alongside a judicial clerkship at the 165th Civil District Court in Harris County, Texas. His bar admissions include that of Texas and several U.S. District Courts across Texas, as well as the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
