With a bustling legal practice that is a tour de force within his legal community, K. Knox "Lighthorse" Nunnally has built immense trust between himself and his clients, comforting them in their darkest hours and lifting them up when they overcome their legal challenges. At the law office of Allen & Nunnally in Houston, Texas, he primarily handles legal cases statewide in the fields of personal injury law, oil, gas and natural resources law, and business law, among many others.
Mr. Nunnally completed his undergraduate studies in 2001, graduating with his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and government from the United States Naval Academy. Soon after he graduated, he entered the United States Marine Corps as an infantry officer and left with the rank of Captain five years later. With a desire to help people outside the battlefield, he enrolled at The University of Texas School of Law, where he honed his shrewd legal acumen through his close involvement with the Moot Court and the Friar Society, among many others. He received his Juris Doctor in 2009 and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Texas.
A consummate professional through and through, Mr. Nunnally strives to give his clients the top-quality legal representation they deserve. Having handled genuine life-or-death moments during his time as a Marine, he is keenly aware of how to handle pressure, either in or out of the courtroom. For his many contributions, he was the recipient of the President’s Award by the Houston Bar Association and was featured in “Lawyer on the Rise” by Texas Lawyer.
Outside his legal community, Mr. Nunnally maintains membership in the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, as well as being a board member of Bar X Project, a veteran service organization. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.
