Details
A highly regarded civil litigation attorney, Kyle W. Farrar is a partner at and a co-founder of Farrar & Ball, LLP, based in Houston, Texas. He majored in psychology while he was an undergraduate at Texas A&M University, and in 1998, he received a Bachelor of Science. Remaining in the state for his legal education, Mr. Farrar went on to attend Baylor University Law School in Waco, and he was the executive editor of the Baylor Law Review and was inducted into The Order of Barristers before being awarded his Juris Doctor summa cum laude in 2002.
After his graduation, Mr. Farrar spent several years defending large corporations in civil lawsuits. Now at Farrar & Ball, LLP, he devotes his practice exclusively to the representation of plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, and he draws on his prior experience to anticipate the types of tactics that defendants and their insurance companies might employ against his current clients.
A significant portion of Mr. Farrar’s caseload has involved lawsuits based upon defective tires and other motor vehicle parts. He has gone up against leading manufacturers, and he has obtained millions of dollars in compensation for his clients, including a $32 million jury award against Cooper Tire & Rubber Company in a case involving a tire defect. In addition, Mr. Farrar’s practice includes multi-district litigation involving dangerous medical products.
Mr. Farrar’s successful track record has earned him a great deal of favorable recognition from his colleagues, including being named to The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 Under 40. He is frequently asked to deliver presentations on product liability topics at conferences around the country. Admitted to practice in Texas, California and Minnesota, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas.
