Larry G. Trimble is an attorney at Trimble & Grant, PLLC. Based in Houston, and representing individual and business clients throughout the metropolitan region and other parts of Texas, he divides his practice among workers' compensation claims, personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Mr. Trimble has been certified as a specialist in workers' compensation law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Trimble devotes a significant portion of his practice to clients who have been injured on the job. In this regard, he assists them with the filing of claims for benefits under their employer's workers' compensation insurance coverage, and he advocates on their behalf at subsequent hearings in the event that their claim has been disputed or denied. Many large Texas companies, however, do not carry that form of insurance, but instead have occupational injury plans that are governed by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974. These are referred to as nonsubscriber claims, and they present far more difficult procedural hurdles that have to be overcome. However, Mr. Trimble has been able to obtain positive results for his clients under both schemes.
Mr. Trimble's personal injury experience has included helping people who have been harmed by the negligence of other parties in truck and other motor vehicle crashes, and he has represented offshore maritime workers who have been injured on the job and whose claims are governed by the Jones Act or other federal statutes. A 1989 Bachelor of Arts recipient from Stephen F. Austin State University, Mr. Trimble obtained his legal education at South Texas College of Law Houston and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1992.
