She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Her educational background also includes studying law at the University of Oxford and Spanish at the Universidad de Alicante. She holds a license to practice law before all Texas state courts, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Supreme Court.
