Verdicts / Settlements (Case Results)
- Sutherland Springs shooting case involving the shooting of members of the Sutherland Springs Baptist Church. No trial involvement but pretrial assistance in Federal Tort Claims Act case presently pending in US District Court in San Antonio, Texas, awaiting final verdict on damages. Bench trial only under the FTCA. Liability finding already determined by USDC earlier in 2021. Joint representation of the Holcombe family who lost 9 members of the family including children, grandchildren, stepchildren and step-grandchildren, 2021
- Cheatham, et al., v. Pohl, et al. - Successful defense of owner of litigation finance company, who was also the wife of the attorney of which the primary complaints were lodged, sued in conjunction with attorney for barratry, fee forfeiture, conspiracy for violate Texas Barratry Act, and fraud, and other causes of action in several cases; settlement of one, summary judgment for litigation finance company and officer and employee. Summary judgment on all grounds presently pending on appeal. Related litigation includes at least four Harris County cases and one Louisiana case, 2019

Numerous problems successfully resolved on that front with no arrests and only one sanctuary wrestling match during a service, 2021
