Mehdi Cherkaoui

Mehdi Cherkaoui is a tenacious civil litigation attorney at the Texas law firm Cherkaoui & Associates PLLC. He assists the residents of Houston with a variety of matters including business litigation, personal injury, immigration law, consumer law and general civil litigation.

At the University of Houston, Mr. Cherkaoui obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in world cultures and literature. He graduated in 2002 and enrolled at the Texas Southern University, Thurgood Marshall School of Law to pursue his legal education. He received his Juris Doctor cum laude in 2012. During law school, he was part of the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the mock trial team.

First admitted to practice in the state courts of Texas in 2013, Mr. Cherkaoui has also appeared before the Supreme Court of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern and Northern Districts of Texas and the United States Courts of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Early in his career, Mr. Cherkaoui served as a law clerk at the real estate litigation department of the Harris County Attorney's Office and then as an oil and gas research assistant at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas. Later in 2013, he joined Cherkaoui & Associates PLLC.
