Michael R. Eddington

Michael Eddington serves as an associate attorney at The Buzbee Law Firm, where he ardently advocates for clients entangled in an array of personal injury and commercial litigation matters. Focusing primarily on maritime personal injury cases, encompassing the Jones Act, he extends his proficiency nationwide, with a focus on regions such as Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Concentrating on political science and sociology, Mr. Eddington completed his bachelor's degree at Louisiana State University in 2014. He secured a doctorate in law from Tulane University Law School in 2017, where he was the senior managing editor of Tulane Law and Sexuality Journal and a part of the Maritime Law Society. Additionally, he earned a Maritime Law certificate and was honored with the Charles Kohlmeyer, Jr. Award for exemplary accomplishments in the field of maritime law.

Throughout his tenure in law school, Mr. Eddington honed his skills by serving as a clerk for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He further enriched his experience through roles at the Tulane Civil Litigation Clinic, and internships at the New Orleans City Attorney’s Office and Southeast Louisiana Legal Services. He obtained his license to practice law in Texas in 2017. He worked for a firm that handled business and real estate litigation in Houston before joining The Buzbee Law Firm.
