Michael Wynne is Co-Chair of Gregor Wynne Arney, PLLC, a Houston-based international litigation boutique.  Michael Wynne practices white collar criminal defense and represents clients throughout the United States, Mexico, and elsewhere in Latin America who may be subjects, targets, witnesses, or victims in federal criminal investigations and/or prosecutions.  He also has expertise in the immigration, foreign asset seizure, and extradition aspects of these investigations and prosecutions.  His practice is expanding to Europe and Africa, focusing in particular on Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), OFAC, Cyper-Space, and Money Laundering and Asset Forfeiture.  Michael has had the honor of being counsel primarily responsible for some of the most complex public corruption, sanctuary city, RICO, Food Adulteration, Pharmacy and Drug Diversion, Election Law, Anti-Kickback and Stark Law Cases, Professional Sports, Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty and International Trade, and Human Smuggling cases in the country.   He has assembled one of the strongest white-collar teams in this part of the country, with expertise in state, federal, appellate, and habeas practice -- with a parallel team of civil law and constitutional law practitioners to complement the practice.

Mr. Wynne attended Bucknell University, and graduated magna cum laude with departmental honors and a Bachelor of Arts in 1989. At Harvard Law School, he earned his Juris Doctor in 1992, was a research assistant to the Hon. Stephen Breyer and is admitted to practice in the state of Texas and all federal courts in Texas, the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court.  He is presently pro hac vice in multiple states.   Mr. Wynne is a Sustaining Life Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, a member of the Texas Bar College in 2019, a former Director of the State Bar of Texas, multiple-term Chair of the HBA Criminal Law and Procedure Section, a frequent legal commentator to the local media, sponsor of the Houston Business Forum, contributor to The Houston Lawyer, and member of Second Baptist Church.
