A native of Tomball, Texas, attorney Nefi K. Lopez began his legal career at a prominent personal injury firm, where mentorship from seasoned litigators accelerated his courtroom development. He founded Lopez Franco PLLC, in Houston, Texas, to provide direct representation for people harmed by others’ negligence. His practice focuses on civil litigation and personal injury matters, guiding clients through complex claims and pursuing fair recoveries on their behalf.
A top-ranked student and multisport competitor in high school, Mr. Lopez attended Houston Christian University as an inaugural member of the Huskies football program and pursued a bachelor’s degree focused on governmental studies and rhetorical studies. He continued to build trial advocacy skills as an undergraduate and later at South Texas College of Law Houston.
As captain of his university’s mock trial team, Mr. Lopez led teams to national victories and at law school, he became a regular presence in nationally recognized mock trial and moot court competitions. He twice earned top honors at the T. Gerald Treece Summer Trial Academy, receiving the Best Speaker Award in his first year, and served as a varsity advocate in more than 16 competitions nationwide.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Lopez remains committed to fostering the next generation of advocates. He coaches mock trial and moot court teams at both South Texas College of Law Houston and Houston Christian University, and maintains active involvement in numerous professional organizations, including the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston, the Mexican American Bar Association, The Garland R.
