Omar Khawaja

Omar Khawaja is a personal injury attorney in Bellaire, Texas. The founder of the law office of Omar Khawaja PLLC, he has over a decade of legal experience. Serving clients in Bellaire and throughout the Houston region, he handles matters involving motor vehicle accidents, commercial airline accidents, trucking accidents, work injuries, wrongful death, and admiralty and maritime injuries.

In addition to personal injury law, Mr. Khawaja has experience with criminal defense law. He is a former assistant district attorney for Fort Bend and Midland counties in Texas. Practicing criminal defense law provided him with the opportunity to develop his courtroom and litigation skills through the prosecution of numerous misdemeanor and felony cases. 

After leaving the district attorney’s office, Mr. Khawaja joined a private personal injury law firm before founding his own law firm in 2018, continuing to focus his practice on personal injury law. He provides committed and passionate representation to the injured and their families, fighting for the protection of their legal rights and fair compensation.

Outside of his law practice, Mr. Khawaja is active in the professional community. He belongs to the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and sits on the board of the Houston Karachi Sister City Association and the South Asian Chamber of Commerce. He holds a license to practice law before all Texas state courts.

Raised in Houston, Mr. Khawaja received a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Arizona. He earned his law degree from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law. He gained legal experience during law school by working at the City of Houston Legal Department and clerking for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
