Pete T. Patterson is managing partner at PATTERSON P.C. in Houston, Texas. Mr. Patterson practices trial law for business, commercial, employment and personal injury law, litigating cases throughout the state of Texas and across the country. Patterson is double board certified in PI and Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. 

Mr. Patterson has more than 30 years of experience. Over the course of his career, he has successfully recovered millions of dollars for his clients through settlements and verdicts. Honoring his accomplishments, Martindale-Hubbell awarded him an AV Preeminent* peer review rating ten years running. He is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and the Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum.  Pete is an Associate in the American Board of Trial Advocates, and served as 2020 Houston Chapter President.  Pete was the 2020-21 President of the Houston Chapter of the Entrepreneur's Organization. 

In addition to running his law practice, Mr. Patterson is involved in various educational roles. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center’s Blakely Advocacy Institute. He serves as a visiting lecturer at the master of business administration program at Baylor University and serves on the board of trustees at Wayland Academy.

Mr. Patterson spent several years serving on the board of Child Advocates and participated on a mayoral task force involving startup businesses and residential Houston neighborhoods. He continues to serve his community in many ways, including sitting on the boards of the Neartown Association, the Neartown Community Development Corporation and the Park Civic Association.

After earning a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Patterson received his law degree from University of Houston Law Center. He is eligible to practice before Texas state courts and several federal courts, and is a member of several legal organizations including, the Houston Bar Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, the State Bar of Texas and the American Board of Trial Advocates.

  • Defense Verdict: CORSA v EPT: CORSA sued EPT for breach of contract for $57 Million dollars alleging EPT's shipping containers were faulty resulting in a hazardous chemical spill.  The Jury found for Patterson's client and awarded nothing, 2012
  • Reversal of $62 Million Dollar Judgment against Patterson's client in Federal District Court. The Fifth Circuit reversed and reminded the Trial Judge's decision only days after Patterson's argument to the Fifth Circuit in New Orleans, 2012
