Rachel Sedita is an attorney with Diggs & Sadler, a law firm in Houston, Texas. Board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Ms. Sedita has more than seven years of experience and provides exceptional counsel and support to business owners and employers across her region with all their complex and sensitive employment law matters.
In addition to employment law, Ms. Sedita devotes a significant portion of her practice to family law, and she offers highly personalized representation to individuals and families who are going through the emotional divorce process to help them make the best-informed decisions regarding child custody and support, property division and all other related matters.
From her time in undergrad, Ms. Sedita has maintained an intense passion for family law, and she completed an internship with the child support division of the Office of the Attorney General. She also was an active participant in the Complex Family Law Clinic, and she works hard to protect the rights and best interests of children caught up in divorce as well as in other contentious custody situations.
Whether helping her clients remain compliant with all applicable employment laws and regulations or assisting them with their divorces, Ms. Sedita fights aggressively to protect her clients' rights and interests at all turns. She has earned consistent top rankings and endorsements from her peers, including a Top Lawyer designation from Houstonia Magazine, as well as numerous testimonials and referrals from her satisfied clients.
A 2009 graduate of Trinity University, Ms. Sedita obtained her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston in 2012. She is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

These comments were made by fellow attorneys during the annual nomination process.
“Rachel is hardworking and cares deeply about her clients. She is one of the best young associates with whom I have worked.”
“As both a shareholder at Diggs and Sadler and the President of the AWA, Rachel's dedication to the law shines. Rachel takes time to mentor others in her office, and equip the next generation of lawyers, while fighting for her clients. Rachel is a Super Lawyer.”
“We obviously think Rachel Sedita continues to be a Rising Star, as she made shareholder this year. (I would nominate her as a Super Lawyer, but I think she may not be old enough for that yet per your criteria).”
“Rachel has the ability to see both the details of a case as well as the overall picture. This ability allows her to achieve the best outcome for her clients. She is dedicated to her cases and her clients, and will fight tirelessly for them. Rachel handles a wide variety of cases in both family law and employment law.”
“Rachel Smith is one of 4 individuals in our law firm who practices employment law, and nearly 80% of her docket is devoted to this. In addition to her substantial involvement in Human Resources investigations and general employment litigation, she is a key player in two Federal Wage and Hour class actions, a state-wide class action in Houston, and a nation-wide class action in California. She is the key person among the three firms that represent the plaintiffs in both cases, for knowledge of our individual plaintiffs and class members and the case file. She has a high level of responsibility for her years, is invaluable and, without a doubt, a Rising Star.”
“Rachel is an outstanding young attorney. She is passionate about her cases. She is careful, thorough, detail-oriented and committed to finding the best solutions for her clients.”
“Rachel is one of the best young attorney I've worked with in my career. She is smart, organized, analytical and empathetic to clients.”
