Raj Mahadass is a managing partner at PMR Law in Houston, Texas. With over two decades of experience as an attorney, he handles personal injury law and commercial litigation. Through PMR Law, he has represented clients in radiation exposure, employment discrimination, automobile accidents, cyberbullying, truck accidents, wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases.
Graduating with his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, Mr. Mahadass continued his legal education at Emory University School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor in 2005. In the same year, he gained his license to practice in Texas. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He started his legal career working as a clerk for the Hon. R. Jack Cagle, learning civil court procedures and jurisdictional issues. He also gained experience in leading negotiations, drafting motions and preparing other litigation documents.
After gaining his license, Mr. Mahadass worked as an assistant staff attorney for the Harris County Office of Court Management and an assistant general counsel for the Harris County Attorney’s Office. In the year 2009, he became the assistant district attorney for Harris County, where he honed his representational skills. Through these experiences, he sharpened his problem-solving and legal skills. He was listed in The Best Lawyers in America list from 2024 to 2025 and the LawDragon 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers in America in 2021, 2022 and 2024.
Mr. Mahadass previously served as the president of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the South Asian Bar Association. Additionally, he was previously the co-chair of the Houston Bar Association Membership Committee. His relentless commitment to the community earned him the association's President’s Award for Outstanding Service. He is also a member of the association’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.
