Rebecca Phillips joined the Lanier Law Firm because she believes in the power of the civil justice system to promote good corporate behavior and public safety. She loves helping individuals utilize that power to seek justice, through both trial work and appeals. Rebecca’s practice is diverse, having experience primarily in mass torts, class actions, and complex business cases - but she has also handled one-off asylum and constitutional matters. Most recently, she spends her time representing communities harmed by the opioid epidemic, individuals injured by corporations who release private information to foreign governments, and individuals who suffered heart failure after taking the prescription drug Onglyza. In early 2020, Rebecca co-lead a trial victory against a previously undefeated trial team for Orange County, CA, receiving a verdict that the county violated a mother's constitutional rights when it allowed social workers to deceive a judge in order to take away the mother's daughter and give her to an alleged abuser.Â
Rebecca is a graduate of Yale Law School. She is a member of the American Association of Justice, as well as a graduate of its Leadership Academy. She has been named to the National Trial Lawyers' Top 40-Under-40 list since 2017, and she was named to Lawdragon's list of 500 Leading Plaintiff Consumer Lawyers in 2020.Â
