Attorney Ron Bankston is the founder of the Houston law firm of Bankston & Associates. At his highly respected practice, Mr. Bankston focuses his efforts on helping both individuals and business clients from throughout Texas's Gulf Coast region resolve civil disputes using alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and arbitration, and in selected cases, through litigation. In addition, he offers early case evaluation, complex case management, negotiation consulting and ad litem work.

Mr. Bankston began his legal career in 1977 after earning his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center and his admission to the State Bar of Texas. The Texas Board of Legal Specialization recognizes him as a board-certified personal injury trial lawyer, which is a distinction he has held since 1985.

Over the course of Mr. Bankston's nearly 40-year legal career, he has earned the respect of both his clients and his peers for his work as a litigator and a mediator. Along with that respect, he has earned a number of honors, including a "Superb" rating from Avvo and an AV Preeminent 5.0/5.0 peer-review rating* from Martindale-Hubbell. In addition, he is a member of the prestigious Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which limits membership to attorneys who secured a settlement or verdict of $2 million or more for a client.

Mr. Bankston is active in the legal community as an author, guest speaker and member of a number of organizations. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and a life fellow of both the Houston Bar Association and the Texas Bar Foundation, to name only a few.

*AV®, BV®, AV Preeminent® and BV Distinguished® are registered certification marks of Reed Elsevier Properties Inc., used in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies.
