Ms. Simien’s academic achievements reflect a steadfast commitment to intellectual growth. In 2010, she graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and a minor in Spanish. Seeking to deepen her grasp of criminal justice theory and practice, Ms. Simien earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston-Downtown in 2015.

Subsequently, Ms. Simien received her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law in May 2020, the same year she was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. She is further authorized to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the U.S. District Courts for the Western, Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas.

Fluent in both English and Spanish and proud of her Hispanic and Cajun/Creole heritage, Ms. Simien forges meaningful connections with clients from diverse backgrounds.
