Thomas A. (Tad) Adams, IV

Tad Adams tries business lawsuits on behalf of companies and individuals. After cutting his teeth at one of the most prestigious litigation boutiques in the country, he started his own firm with his brother Will. The firm now stands at six lawyers (and growing). The firm recently relocated to 6,500 square feet of space in the upscale mixed use development La Centerra at Cinco Ranch. 

Tad has been a principal in several successful business start ups, giving him a unique understanding of the challenges entrepreneurs and start-ups face – as well as the harms caused when valued, trusted relationships fail to live up to both the terms and spirit of a deal. He has also been involved in several unsuccessful business investments, and knows the difference between a bad investment, and one that fails because of the fraud and self-dealing of a venture’s principals and/or promoters. 

As two time chair of the 600+ member Katy Area Chamber of Commerce and an active member of the Chamber’s Executive Committee, he keeps his finger on the pulse of today’s investors and business owners and what helps them survive, and thrive. And what doesn’t. 

Why a small firm? And why us? 

Your case will be analyzed, prepared, managed and tried by one or both of the firm’s founding partners. In this day and age of downsizing and frequent attorney movement from firm to firm, picking a lawyer and a law firm can be a roll of the dice and bet on the … stay. (Partially mixed metaphors, like trial themes, can be tricky.) Tad and Will have worked together for fifteen years, and we aren’t going anywhere. We enjoy trying and mediating cases together, so you will often see us both at the same mediation. And always at the same trial. It’s what we do.
