Kristopher S. Barber

A former defense attorney, Kristopher S. Barber now represents plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death litigation. The founder of The Barber Law Firm located in Plano, Texas, he assists clients in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area and throughout the state who have been harmed by the negligence of others in cases involving wrongful death, premises liability, motor vehicle collisions, motorcycle wrecks, construction site accidents, pedestrian knockdowns and tractor-trailer accidents. His previous experience allows him to anticipate the defense strategies that companies and insurance companies might attempt to employ at trial.

Mr. Barber grew up in Plano and attended Texas A&M University as an undergraduate, majoring in psychology and receiving a Bachelor of Arts cum laude in 1996. He then pursued his legal studies at SMU Dedman School of Law and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1999. While in law school, Mr. Barber served a clerkship with the defense firm that he later joined as an associate. He was also inducted into the Order of Barristers upon graduation. Admitted to practice in Texas, Mr. Barber is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas.

Mr. Barber is an active participant in several legal organizations. His memberships include the State Bar of Texas, the American Association for Justice, the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, and The Patrick E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court.
