Benton G. Ross

An attorney at The Monsour Law Firm, Benton G. Ross focuses his practice exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death litigation. Based in the firm's office in Longview, Texas, he represents clients throughout the region. Admitted to practice before all Texas state courts since 2010, Mr. Ross is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas as well as before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 5th and 10th Circuits.

Mr. Ross's client base is made up of people who have incurred losses due to the negligence or gross negligence of other parties. The types of cases that he has handled have arisen out of incidents involving defective products, industrial accidents, 18-wheeler and other motor vehicle crashes, and oil field explosions. During his tenure with The Monsour Law Firm, which began in June 2012, Mr. Ross has been able to obtain tens of millions of dollars in compensation for his  clients through both jury awards and negotiated settlements, and this has led to him becoming a member of the invitation-only Million Dollar Advocates Forum.

Born and raised in Texas, Mr. Ross attended Rhodes College as an undergraduate, where he majored in philosophy and religious studies and received a Bachelor of Arts in 2006. He then went on to pursue his legal education at Texas Tech University School of Law in Lubbock. While he was there, Mr. Ross served on the executive board of the Texas Tech Law Review and the Board of Barristers, received the Order of Barristers award, tutored first-year students in property law, and participated in traveling moot court competitions before being awarded his Juris Doctor and being inducted into the Order of the Coif in 2010.
