Justin A. Smith

Justin A. Smith is a Texas and Arkansas personal injury attorney who devotes his time at Sloan, Hatcher, Perry, Runge, Robertson & Smith Law Firm to handling cases that involve catastrophic personal injuries. He has represented clients in Longview and across the state of Texas in matters such as personal injury law, class actions, mass torts, civil rights, constitutional law, and labor and employment law.

Prior to starting a career in law, Mr. Smith focused on getting an education. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of North Texas, graduating cum laude in 2007. He then received a Juris Doctor and graduated cum laude in 2010 from Baylor Law School. During his time there, Mr. Smith served as an associate editor of the school’s law review, and he was involved in the school’s mock trial advocacy program.

Today, Mr. Smith immerses himself in his work. When he is not meeting with a client or building an argument, he participates in legal organizations such as the American Association for Justice and the State Bar of Texas. These memberships provide Mr. Smith with a network of professionals and resources that have strengthened his advocating skills in the courtroom and in negotiations.

A published author, one of Mr. Smith’s largest successes involved a case on behalf of two sexually assaulted children, resulting in a $21 million judgment.

Outside his practice, Mr. Smith plays guitar and enjoys reading, watching boxing and running.
