A native of Moore, Oklahoma, Mr. Maddox majored in journalism and professional writing and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Oklahoma. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, summa cum laude, in 1996 from The University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he functioned as the notes editor of Oklahoma Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. For his outstanding scholastic achievement, he was given the prestigious American Jurisprudence Award several times.Â
