A 1970 cum laude graduate of Coe College with a Bachelor of Arts in political science, Mr. Harrison attended Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, obtaining his Juris Doctor in 1973. That same year, the State Bar of Texas admitted him to practice, and Mr. Harrison is also admitted to practice in Oklahoma and New Mexico, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

An accomplished author and speaker, Mr. Harrison has contributed to numerous trade publications and conducted many lectures for various continuing legal education programs. Fully dedicated to his practice, he remains active in several local, state and national bar associations, including the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Trucking Industry Defense Association, among others. Moreover, he served as president for both the Grayson County Bar Association and the North Texas Bar Association, and he is a life fellow with the Texas Bar Foundation.
