Sharon M. Ramage established The Ramage Law Group in 1997 to exclusively advocate for the rights of families and children in the North Texas area, and is located in McKinney and Frisco, Texas. She focuses her practice on special education and family law matters such as adoption, contested child custody and support, contested and collaborative divorce, domestic violence, fathers' rights, grandparents' rights, parental relocation, marital agreements and asset division.
Having worked as a social worker early in her career, Ms. Ramage witnessed the heart-wrenching effects of conflict on families and children. Since 1992, she has channeled her passion into her law practice, continuing to support families and children in need. She works tirelessly day in and day out to ensure that her clients get what they need, with an additional focus on the well-being of the children.
Majoring in social work, Ms. Ramage pursued her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Texas at Arlington and graduated in 1988. Four years later, she received her Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law in Waco, Texas. After law school, she served as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Tarrant County and worked in the Crimes Against Children Division, prosecuting child abuse cases.
Ms. Ramage began practicing special education law throughout the State of Texas in 1997. She previously served as a special education hearing officer and mediator for the Texas Education Agency. Other attorneys often seek her out for guidance. She is a frequent presenter at conferences, local bar associations, parent groups and disability associations, and has even served on the faculty of the National Administrative Law Judicial Conference as well as the National Academy for IDEA Administrative Law Judges and Impartial Hearing Officers. The Ramage Law Group currently represents families throughout the State of Texas who seek better educational services for their disabled children.
Ms. Ramage has served the community in leadership roles in Leadership Texas and Leadership Frisco and as a board member of Lifepath Foundation. She is also a member of Curt B. Henderson American Inn of Court and co-authored a book "All About Texas Law and Kids," published by Texas Lawyer Press.
An accomplished professional, Ms. Ramage also strives to improve the business of practicing law and is an active member of Vistage. Under her leadership, The Ramage Law Group was named to the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in the U.S. in 2024 and 2025, and to the Inc. 5000 Regional list, for fastest growing companies in the Southwest in 2025.
In her downtime, Ms. Ramage enjoys traveling with family and friends, entertaining, and is a lifelong learner.
