The founding partner of The Law Firm of Ted B. Lyon & Associates in Mesquite, Texas, attorney Ted B. Throughout his legal career that spans more than three decades, Mr. Lyon has represented clients in Dallas, Fort Worth and the surrounding areas in more than 150 jury trials. In addition to achieving several landmark verdicts and settlements, including three ranked among the Top 10, he has been featured on national television programs such as "60 Minutes," "Good Morning America" and "Dateline NBC." He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Texas, the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas.
In 1972, Mr. Lyon obtained a bachelor's degree in political science, and he earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 1975. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, the Texas Bar Foundation, the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Litigation Counsel of America and many other local and state organizations. He currently sits on the boards of directors for the Dallas Trial Lawyers Association and the Southern Trial Lawyers Association.
