Charles D. Myers

Charles D. Myers is a partner at Ward, Myers & Stallings. His firm is located in Midland, Texas, not far from the town in which he was born and raised. Mr. Myers focuses his practice exclusively on family law matters, and he has been certified as a specialist in that area of the law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

Mr. Myers’s client base comes from the surrounding areas, including the Permian Basin and other parts of West Texas. Many of them are seeing their marriages break down and come to an end, and he provides them with advice and counsel on the issues of property division, child custody and visitation, child support and alimony. This can be an emotional time for many of his clients, and he will often take the lead in negotiating a comprehensive settlement agreement that addresses all these matters. However, there are other times when talks break down or the estranged couple is too far apart to even want to attempt to reach an accord, and when this is the case, Mr. Myers advocates forcefully in front of judges and juries on behalf of his clients.

Mr. Myers has extensive experience in other family law matters as well. He has worked with people whose marriages have previously been legally dissolved and who now are seeking to have existing support and parenting court orders modified or enforced, and his caseload has also included adoptions. A graduate of Baylor Law School, Mr. Myers is admitted to practice in Texas.
