Hill Family Law, PLLC
301 Main Plaza#152
New Braunfels, TX 78130
At the helm of Hill Family Law, PLLC, attorney Matthew J. Hill has built a distinguished practice centered on family law, alternative dispute resolution and appellate advocacy. From his firm's base in New Braunfels, Texas, he extends his counsel across the greater Austin and San Antonio corridor, with particular attention to families in San Marcos, Dripping Springs, Wimberley, Spring Branch and Bulverde.
Mr. Hill's legal journey began in 2006, and in the two decades since, he has cultivated a practice defined by depth rather than breadth of focus. He is known for navigating the most demanding corners of family law – complex property division disputes, custody battles involving grandparents and other third-party claimants, and the exacting demands of appellate practice.
Clients who engage his services find a guide committed to walking alongside them through every stage of their case, from the first consultation through mediation and, when circumstances require, into the appellate courts. His academic foundation traces back to Texas A&M University, followed by legal training at St. Mary's University School of Law. That foundation has since been reinforced by continued professional growth: he holds fellowship status in the Texas Bar College, has maintained an AV Preeminent* peer-review rating through Martindale-Hubbell since 2018 and carries a "Superb" rating on Avvo.
Mr. Hill's influence reaches well beyond his own casework. Within the State Bar of Texas, he has chaired Investigatory Panel 15-4 for the Grievance Committee, served a term as elected director for District 15 on the State Bar Board of Directors and currently sits on the Council of the State Bar of Texas Family Law Section.
Recognizing that not every dispute belongs in a courtroom, Mr. Hill has also trained extensively in mediation through the Center for Public Policy Dispute Resolution at the University of Texas School of Law and the A.A. White Dispute Resolution Center at the University of Houston Law Center – equipping him to help families reach resolution efficiently, whenever possible.
*AV®, AV Preeminent®, Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished and Martindale-Hubbell Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. Martindale-Hubbell® is the facilitator of a peer-review rating process. Ratings reflect the anonymous opinions of members of the bar and the judiciary. Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™ fall into two categories – legal ability and general ethical standards.
