Alecia Jones

The founder of Jones Legal, Alecia Le'Andrea Jones now focuses her practice entirely on a variety of estate planning matters. Her firm is based in Houston, Texas, and she furnishes knowledgeable representation to people throughout the greater metropolitan area. Ms. Jones’ legal experience has also encompassed family law, personal injury litigation and state criminal defense.

Ms. Jones offers several estate planning packages, and they are each designed to fill the particular needs, objectives and set of circumstances of each client. They range in complexity, starting with the most basic set of documents. Ms. Jones has significant experience in the preparation and review of all estate plan tools, including last wills and testaments, living and irrevocable trusts, financial and health care powers of attorney, HIPPA release forms, and advance medical directives, among others. She also offers advice and counsel to trustees, executors, and personal representatives, describing the fiduciary and other responsibilities that are attached to each role. In addition, she has provided parents and other family members of incapacitated children with guidance on how to petition the probate court to be named as a guardian and, if granted, how to serve in that capacity and the responsibilities attached thereto.

Ms. Jones attended Troy University as an undergraduate, receiving a Bachelor of Science in 2006. She then went on to pursue her legal education at what was then known as the Thomas M. Cooley Law School, and in 2010, she was awarded her Juris Doctor. Admitted to practice before all Texas state courts since 2011, Ms. Jones is a member of the Probate, Trusts and Estates Section of the Houston Bar Association and other professional groups.
