Todd Shapiro

Todd Shapiro is an attorney at The Shapiro Law Firm in Plano, Texas. Mr. Shapiro is a versatile and skilled litigator who focuses his practice on criminal defense matters. He serves individuals throughout Collin County and Dallas-Fort Worth as well as the surrounding areas. A native of Plano, Mr. Shapiro earned his undergraduate degree in government from the University of Texas at Austin in 1997. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law in 2000.

Before joining his father at The Shapiro Law Firm in 2003, Mr. Shapiro served as an assistant district attorney for Dallas County. During his three years in the district attorney's office, he tried more than 130 cases to verdict, ranging from DWI to violent felonies.

Outside the courtroom, Mr. Shapiro contributes to his profession and the community through a number of professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, the Collin County Bar Association, the Dallas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Texas Cowboys Alumni Association. When not representing clients, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids and, along with other attorneys at The Shapiro Law Firm, participating in community organizations such as the United Way, the Plano Rotary Club and the Men's Athletic Council at the University of Texas.
