Attorney Dustin S. Whittenburg is the founder of the Law Offices of Dustin Whittenburg in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Whittenburg primarily practices business law, also handling nonprofit law, estate planning and probate matters. He has over 18 years of experience and serves clients throughout the San Antonio area.

In addition to his other practice areas, Mr. Whittenburg has experience with tax controversy cases involving audits, enforced collection, strategic tax planning, tax exempt entities, tax exempt municipal funding and trust fund recovery penalties. Prior to founding his own law firm, he practiced at private law firms in Dallas and San Antonio.

Raised in Amarillo, Texas, Mr. Whittenburg received a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance and a master’s degree in accounting from Texas Tech University. He went on to graduate from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He earned a Master of Laws in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Mr. Whittenburg holds a license to practice law before all Texas state courts. Additionally, he is qualified to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Western districts of Texas and the U.S. Tax Court. Over the course of his career, he has also provided representation before the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and the Internal Revenue Service.

Outside of the office, Mr. Whittenburg stays involved in his legal community through membership in professional organizations. He belongs to the San Antonio Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Foundation, the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Tax Section, Texas Bar Foundation, and the National Association of Bond Lawyers. He also collects sports memorabilia, tobacco cards, and is involved with many community groups.
