Dustin S. Whittenburg is the founder of and sole attorney at his own firm in San Antonio, Texas. Ranked among the best tax law attorneys in the San Antonio area by S.A. Scene Magazine in 2011, Mr. Whittenburg concentrates his practice on tax law and estate planning. He assists a broad range of clients throughout the greater San Antonio area with strategic tax planning and resolving tax controversies in addition to helping them draft and execute wills, trusts and other documents. He provides diligent representation to individuals and business clients alike in audits, appeals and non-criminal tax evasion matters before the IRS as well.

A proud native of Amarillo, Mr. Whittenburg earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Science in accounting from Texas Tech University. He then earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where he received a Dean's Scholarship and served as the articles editor for the university's law review. He also has an LL.M. in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Prior to founding his own firm, Mr. Whittenburg worked at a prominent Dallas-based law firm before taking a position at Cox Smith Matthews, where he gained experience in tax planning, resolving federal and state tax issues, and working with nonprofit organizations. He is licensed to practice before Texas state courts, the United States District Court for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas, and the United States Tax Court. He has also represented clients before the IRS and the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts.

Mr. Whittenburg participates in numerous professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the San Antonio Estate Planners Council, the San Antonio Bar Association and the San Antonio Young Lawyers Association.
