John S. Gilmore, III

Within a relatively short period of time, John S. Gilmore III has made mammoth strides within his legal community through his pristine, client-centric practice that emphasizes an unwavering work ethic, compassionate support and care for his clients, and enthusiastic zeal to see them free of their legal woes. Mr. Gilmore made his first foray into the legal field through his enrollment at the St. Mary’s University School of Law, where he honed his shrewd acumen and talents through his active involvement on and off campus. He received his Juris Doctor in 2018, and in the same year, he obtained his license to practice law in Texas. Prior to attending law school, he completed his undergraduate studies in 2015 at The University of Texas at San Antonio, graduating magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

Soon after becoming licensed in Texas, Mr. Gilmore gained admission to practice before all the federal district courts of Texas, the United States Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Outside his law practice, Mr. Gilmore remains actively involved within his legal community, maintaining close affiliations with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (on the board of directors and the Law School Committee), the State Bar of Texas (Criminal Law Section) and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is also a member of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association and the International Society for the Reform of Criminal Law.
