Kathlyn E. Hufstetler

Within a relatively short period of time, Kathlyn Eileen Hufstetler has earned a tenacious reputation as a shrewd and judicious advocate for her clients, helping them parry off tumultuous legal conflicts by utilizing all the legal tools in her arsenal. A partner at the law office of Patel Gaines, PLLC, in San Antonio, Texas, she is the head of the firm’s Property Tax Division and tackles all aspects of property tax law. 

Ms. Hufstetler completed her undergraduate studies at The University of Texas-Pan American, graduating with her bachelor’s degree in business management. She later went on to attend St. Mary’s University School of Law, where her legal foundation and talents were bolstered through her active involvement on campus. She received her Juris Doctor in 2016, and in the same year, she obtained her license to practice law in Texas. 

A consummate professional through and through, Ms. Hufstetler understands what steps need to be taken to help her clients amicably resolve their legal woes expeditiously with grace and poise. She represents over $16 billion in commercial property and has brought in a reduction of $22 million in taxable value in two separate cases – cases that helped solidify her high standing within her legal community. For her many contributions, she has been named a Best Lawyer by Scene in San Antonio Magazine and included in the 10 Extraordinary Women to Watch award by EliteX. Outside her law practice, she serves on the Bridge Committee at the Texas Association of Property Tax Professionals.
