Kerrisa Chelkowski

Criminal defense attorney Kerrisa Chelkowski is the founder of the Law Office of Kerrisa Chelkowski in San Antonio, Texas. Ms. Chelkowski handles many types of criminal defense matters, including those involving allegations of drug violations, DUI/DWI and white collar crimes. She has over 19 years of legal experience and serves clients throughout the San Antonio area. 

Prior to becoming a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Chelkowski served in prosecution roles for the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office and the Medina County District Attorney’s Office. These roles provided her with awareness of the strategies and techniques used by prosecutors in criminal cases, which she uses in her current practice to provide the best possible defense to her clients.

In 2007, SA Monthly Magazine named Ms. Chelkowski one of the “Best Lawyers in San Antonio.” That same year she was featured in NSIDE Magazine. She is the author of several articles on criminal law topics for legal publications and is known for her involvement in many noteworthy criminal cases.

In 1998, Ms. Chelkowski earned a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She received her law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2001. She holds licenses to practice law before all Texas state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Southern and Western Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Ms. Chelkowski is a member of several professional organizations. Some of these include the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Texas Bar College.
