Lowell F. Denton

Lowell F. Denton is the Founding Partner/Shareholder of the Denton, Navarro, Rocha, Bernal, Hyde & Zech, P.C.  Mr. Denton has been practicing law since 1978.  His practice is in the areas of municipal law and civil litigation and his expertise also lies in land use, civil rights, meet and confer, collective bargaining, civil service, tax, voting rights issues, and religious freedom claims for over 30 years.  Mr. Denton began his municipal law career at the City of College Station where he served as a City Attorney for 4 years.  He later served as the City Attorney for the City of San Antonio from 1984-1986.  His experience as the In-house City Attorney was his impetus for the creation of a law firm that offered the highest quality of municipal defense representation at the lowest cost to cities.  His experience of having to hire and monitor outside counsel for his cities helped shape his vision and determination to create a law firm that would provide cities with the best representation possible—one that would do municipal defense work exclusively.  He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Court, State of Texas, United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit, United States District Courts: Southern District of Texas, Western District of Texas, and Northern District of Texas.  Mr. Denton is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.  He is a member of the State Bar College, Texas City  Attorneys Association, American Board of Trial Advocates
