Steven A. Lopez

Steven A. Lopez, the owner and CEO of Lopez Law Firm in San Antonio, Texas, is dedicated to championing the cause of those who have been injured. Mr. Lopez’s academic path includes a bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, followed by a J.D. cum laude from Baylor University School of Law. While at law school, he distinguished himself as an executive editor of the Baylor Law Review and National Champion at the American College of Trial Lawyers National Trial Competition. He is bilingual, speaking Spanish fluently.

Steven has coached mock trial and taught trial advocacy as an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s University School of Law for the last four years.

For the last 10 years, he has practiced in San Antonio, where is a respected member of the legal community, serving on the boards of the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association and the Mexican American Bar Association of San Antonio. He is an active member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association and the San Antonio Bar Association.

He has also been named a Texas Super Lawyer for the years 2023 – 2025 and was a Texas Rising Star from 2017 – 2022. In 2022 he was named to the Texas Rising Stars Up-and-Coming 100. He is also recognized with a “Superb” rating on Avvo.

Before embarking on his legal career, Mr. Lopez contributed to the City of San Antonio’s Economic Development Department, where he played a key role in empowering local small businesses to compete for city contracts. This experience deepened his appreciation for the vibrant community and culture of San Antonio.
