Bob Jarvis is the principal attorney at the Jarvis & Hamilton Law Firm located in Sherman, Texas. Representing clients throughout North Texas, he focuses his practice primarily on criminal defense, assisting people who have been charged with DWI, child abuse, sexual assault, murder, drug offenses, assault and family violence, and probation violations among others. He also handles federal cases involving illegal drug and drug conspiracies, white-collar crimes, and child pornography.

Another of Mr. Jarvis’ specialties, Child Protective Service investigations, often involves both criminal charges and family issues. Jarvis understands that all too often parents accuse each other of abusing the children as a means to gain leverage in divorce or custody suits. These are extremely difficult cases, but in every one where the client has been wrongfully accused, Jarvis works hard to expose the false allegations and set the innocent person free.

Mr. Jarvis’ success has earned him a 10.0 "Superb" peer review rating through Avvo, and he has been named the Best Criminal Attorney in the annual Best of Texoma list released by a local newspaper.

Mr. Jarvis received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1982. Remaining in Waco, he attended Baylor Law School and was awarded his Juris Doctor in 1984. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Jarvis served for 12 years as the Grayson County District Attorney, an elected position, where he tried more than 40 criminal cases and had a 100 percent conviction rate. Admitted to practice in Texas, he is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Eastern Districts of Texas, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
