Attorney Juan R. Fuentes is the founder of the Texas-based legal firm, The Fuentes Firm, P.C., with offices in Houston and San Antonio metropolitan areas. He focuses his practice on representing motor carriers in commercial truck accidents, serving clients throughout the Houston and San Antonio metropolitan regions.

Mr. Fuentes has over 20 years of legal experience at all levels of the Texas court system serving as defense counsel in trucking accident claims. In addition to his private clients, he serves as corporate counsel for various motor carriers, advising them on a wide range of matters, including brokerage agreements, contracts and employment issues.

A graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, Mr. Fuentes went on to receive his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. He holds bar licenses to practice law before all Texas state and federal courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit and the Supreme Court of Texas.

A leader within his legal community, Mr. Fuentes is chairman of the Texas Trucking Association’s tort reform committee and sits on the board of the association. He is a former officer and liaison for the association’s Emerging Leaders Council and continues to regularly advocate for legal reforms designed to shield the trucking industry from abusive litigation practices.

Dedicated to professional education, Mr. Fuentes is a frequent speaker at conferences and legal education events. He is a member of the Laredo Motor Carriers Association, the Texas Bar College, the American Bar Association, the Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association and the American Trucking Associations.
