Burgess handles many complex personal injury matters and insurance coverage and claims, as well as commercial litigation issues and real estate and probate. At the Burgess Law Firm, PLLC, in Texarkana, Texas, Mr. Burgess serves the residents of the surrounding region, as well as in some areas of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
Mr. Burgess completed his undergraduate studies in 1987, graduating with his B.B.A. degree in finance and management from Baylor University. He went on to attend the University of Arkansas at Little Rock – William H. Bowen School of Law, where he bolstered his shrewd legal acumen and talents that still inform his practice to this day. After receiving his Juris Doctor, he became licensed to practice law in Texas in 1992.
In addition, Mr. Burgess is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Eastern, Western and Southern Districts of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. He is also certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in civil trial law and personal injury trial law.
