Crystal J. Strickland

Crystal Jade Strickland is one of the top Energy and Natural Resources Law attorneys in Texas.  She graduated from Texas Wesleyan School of Law in December of 2010 and was admitted to practice in Texas in May of 2011.  She joined Hampe Law Firm, PLLC in Tyler, Texas in July of 2014 and became a partner in the firm in January of 2020.  She prides herself on building strong relationships with her clients. She is there every step of the way to answer questions and address issues in real time, and she truly makes her clients' priorities her own.  This level of engagement fosters an unparalleled level of trust.  She is regarded by both her clients and colleagues as an expert on highly complex oil and gas title issues, and her years of experience in the field have afforded her a knack for developing practical, straight-forward solutions to even the most difficult issues.

She has authored hundreds of title opinions, covering lands throughout Texas, including lands in the Midland and Delaware Basins, the Eagleford Shale and the Haynesville Shale, to name a few.  Her work includes drilling title opinions, acquisition opinions and division order title opinions for both pooled units and allocation wells.  In addition to drafting title options, she is frequently called upon by her clients to draft custom agreements, deeds, assignments and curative documents.  She has also represented exploration and production companies in acquisitions, trades and divestitures, most recently overseeing title work in connection with the acquisition of approximately 16,000 net acres in the Permian Basin.  Outside of oil and gas, her practice also includes advising clients in the formation and maintenance of business entities.
